PLEASE READ BEFORE SCROLLING DOWN! Students, thank you so much for your wonderful auditions. We had more people than ever audition for Shades of Blue. Please note that I hate to let you down, I hate to know that some of you will be disappointed by the results. I agonize over making these decisions because I know the feeling of making Shades of Blue or making the top choir in college after auditioning for 2 years or getting the lead role in a show. However, I also know the feeling of not making All-State Choir or not getting the starring role my senior year or not ever making the top vocal jazz group in college. These moments can really sting, I know and I’ve been there. These disappointments are (unfortunately) part of being in the performing arts. Please process your feelings and then I am happy to give you feedback on your audition. Please do not e-mail me over the weekend about the results, wait until Monday to arrange for feedback. We are going to have a great year and I am so excited about these groups. No matter what choir you made, we are going to have a lot of fun and make some incredible music.
